Put a dancer on the floor.

A full pass is about €320. A shared hotel room for four nights, €420. A flight from Europe to California, €780. Every one of those lines is a dancer who otherwise stays home – and every one of them can be paid by someone who has been on that floor.

Westiefund e. V. i. G. is an association in formation. Until the registration and the non-profit status are through, we do not run a donation button and cannot issue donation receipts. If you want to give or sponsor now, write to us – we will tell you exactly where things stand and how to do it properly.

One-off or monthly, any amount. Once the association is registered, donations will be tax-deductible in Germany and we will issue receipts. Every donation total is published on the transparency page; donor names only with consent.

Event organisers, dance studios, shoe and clothing brands, software companies. Sponsor a grant, a season or a specific event. Your name goes on the grant, on this site and – if you want – in the competition videos of the @wcs channels.

A fixed share of the advertising revenue of the West Coast Swing YouTube and TikTok channels goes into the fund. Watching, liking and sharing competition videos is the most low-effort way to help – and it adds up.

Organisers: give a pass.

The cheapest grant for you is the one you already have in stock. A comped full pass costs you a chair in the ballroom and saves a dancer €300.

If you run a WCS event, you can support Westiefund without moving any money: offer one or more passes per edition. We match them with dancers who applied for your event, you get a motivated competitor who would not have been there otherwise, and the pass appears on the transparency page as your contribution.

The same works for hotels, studios with a spare bed, and airlines with miles to spare. If you have something in kind, tell us.

What your money does, and does not do

Goes to: Travel, accommodation and registration of dancers with an approved grant. Paid directly to organisers and bookings where possible.
Does not go to: Salaries, offices, agencies, advertising. The team works for free; hosting and tools are paid by the channels, not by donations.
Published: Once a year on the transparency page: income by source, grants by event and amount, balance. New grants are added as soon as they are paid.
Receipts: Available once the association is registered and recognised as non-profit. We will contact every early donor to issue them retroactively where the law allows.
